March will see the introduction of the new EU5 petrol engine within the MINI range. Each model will be affected in their own way, details of which are shown below:
MINI First
MINI First models will receive a new 1.6 litre EU5 engine with the same 75hp output and a 20Nm increase in itorque to 140Nm at 2,500rpm. Lower CO2 emission levels have been achieved over the previous 1.4 engine.
MINI One
MINI One models will receive a new 1.6 litre EU5 engine with 98hp output and a 13Nm increase in torque to 153Nm at 3,000rpm. Lower CO2 emission levels have been achieved over the previous 1.4 engine.
MINI Cooper
MINI Cooper models will receive a new EU5 engine with 122hp output, an increase of 2hp and a reduction in CO2 of up to 4/g/km.
MINI Cooper S
MINI Cooper S models will receive a new EU5 engine with 184hp output, an increase of 9hp and a reduction in CO2 of up to 14 g/km.
MINI John Cooper Works
There are no changes to John Cooper Works engines other than becoming EU5 and slight changes to fuel consumption.
